West Ham latest news: Top source reveals Steidten future

“Tim Steidten is staying at West Ham and planning for next season.”

That is precisely the answer Claret & Hugh received when speaking to its top source at the club last night. The answer regarding Steidten’s future was as emphatic as it gets, and it is understood that the Hammers’ director of football got straight back to work yesterday.

The German had travelled with the team to Leverkusen for the Europa League quarter-final and could be seen speaking with Xabi Alonso after the final whistle. Steidten knows Alonso well, having been at Leverkusen when the Spaniard was identified and recruited.

However, Tim was in no mood to rest on his laurels, and we were told by the club that he got back to work yesterday and was planning for next season and looking at players.

Exciting times lie ahead, with the club in need of a rebuild and with a threadbare squad, the news that Steidten is staying and looking for players is most welcome.

We just need a decent manager with the same vision as Tim. COYI

  • I’d be happier to hear that dithering Dave the grey dinosaur was slinging his hook. What’s the point of Steidten buying decent young hungry players if Moyes refuses point blank to bend his stubborn attitude and play them

I have no doubt that steiden will bring some quality players to our club as for moyes he will (should he stay)will have to change his attitude or go somewhere else before he ends up with the sack we can’t continue to play such negative football we need a manager with a positive attitude and mindset
