Outstanding Aaron Cresswell has run out a clear winner in the ClaretandHugh Iron of the Year award.
The fabulous left back – already being tipped for England honours – has been a near ever present this season and to pick up the award in his first season is a brilliant achievement.
Cressie ran out with 35.19 of the votes and was followed in second place by Cheik Kouyate who gathered 19.29 pc of the poll. The midfielder’s Senegalese team mate, striker Diafra Sakho took third spot with 18.34 per cent.
Of the other contenders, goalkeeper Adrian took 15.08 per cent, James Collins 5,84 with the others gathering less than three per cent each.
A total of 736 people had voted in the poll when voting was closed this afternoon (Fri).
Thanks to all of you who took the time to cast your vote!
no argument from me he has been very solid lately, although he did have a few slip ups earlier in the season, but overall i think hes a great LWB.
I’m happy for him Kouyate and Sakho, all winners in my opinion. But I voted 500 times in favour of Nolan, where is he?
As a WHU supporter until I die I except the majority vote although I voted for Kouyate.
But that’s life,it’s great the all three players were found and signed by the 2 Daves,
Let’s hope there next big signing is a great coach and if we do go into Europe its with some pride in the way we play
Great season Cressida you need to stay here and grow into a great England player
