CandH readers name their Player of the Season

Angelo Ogbonna has emerged as a clear winner of ClaretandHugh’s poll for the Hammer of the Season.

With around 1,000 voting, Oggy collected 58.8 per cent of the votes with Declan Rice taking the runner-up position with 20.04 pc.

The defender and defensive midfielder were the only two players to score high with third place going to Robert Snodgrass who polled 8.02 per cent and Michail Antonio taking 7.91.

That left Mark Noble, Likasz Fabianski, Pablo Fornals, Issa Diop, Aaron Cresswell, Felipe Anderson, Ryan Fredericks and Sebastian Haller sharing around about six per cent of the vote among themselves.
