Andy Carroll – despite claims that he is set to return after the international break – will not be involved in the match against Spurs and has no more than a remote chance of being involved against Leicester a week on Saturday.
The Geordie striker still hasn’t rejoined the main squad for training and the early prediction that he looks likely to make it back in November looks the correct scenario.
With Marko Arnauotovic’s knee issues still not fully resolved as he plays through the pain barrier it had been hoped that Carroll would be available in order to take the pressure off the Austrian.
But ClaretandHugh learned this evening that is not even close as Carroll continues to fight his way back to full fitness. He is likely to feature in a behind closed doors match before making his return.
However, beyond the long term absentees Manu Lanzini, Winston Reid and Carroll himself we understand the Hammers have no further injury worries for the weekend game.
If he was due to return against Spurs I was wondering what odds Betway would offer when his next long term injury will be? is it True he is going to be offered a new contract?
Neither true or untrue – depends on next few months jay
