Chambers set for breakthrough

|

ChambersLeo Chambers looks to be on the  brink of a big breakthrough in the coming season!

Both he and Danny Whitehead are understood to currently be at the French training camp with the first team squad.

And both were involved at Chadwell Heath when the senior squad returned from the summer break.

Their inclusion in the squad is great encouragement those who have been screaming that our Academy products should get their chance.

And with Guy Demel now in his 34th year it looks more than likely that Leo could get some opportunities during the next campaign.

A senior source confirmed to Claretandhugh: “Both players are part of the first team squad for the new season.

    Great news!
Nice to see our youngsters are getting the opportunity to progress.
But much as I love homegrown players graduating the academy system it should be remembered that it is a huge step from academy level to premier league!
The move has to be done gradually and at the end of the day if they are not good enough they ain’t good enough!
Also it should be remembered that mark noble took a number of years and loans before he made it to the first team! These things take time and can only be done slowly.
Patience is indeed a virtue! COYI!
