Champions League final snub could help West Ham cause

|

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel Champions League final snub to Tammy Abraham could help David Moyes in signing the young striker over the summer.

Abrahams flew out to Portugal with the Chelsea squad but was not named in the 23-man squad that included two goal keepers and two left-backs on the bench.

Abrahams was Chelsea’s joint top scorer last season with Timo Werner, both scoring twelve goals apiece.

Tuchel also left Abraham out of the Chelsea matchday squad entirely for their FA Cup final defeat to Leicester City.

Abraham’s girlfriend, Leah Monroe, took to Instagram prior to the FA cup final after the Chelsea forward was left out, and she was furious with Tuchel.

“How on earth do you make the decision to leave your top goalscorer out of the squad for a final?! The same personal who even scored the goals to actually qualify for this competition? It’s not making any sense to me whatsoever.

“Not even on the bench?! This has to be a joke.”

Chelsea are believed to value Abraham at £40m but David Moyes is reported to believe that £25m would be a fairer price. The West Ham manager is on record to say he will not sign the 23-year-old at £40m.

    She has a point.
    Think it was 25mill, Sean.

Loan with an option. No one is spending £40m on Tammy Abraham.

I do not agree what Tuchel did last night in relation to Abraham, I felt for the player but that is where the sympathy. Tuchel’s decisions have been proved spot on – he is not good enough for a team challenging in the top 4 and its that simple. Lampard got sacked because he played Abraham in a lot of Chelsea fans eyes too much – it affected the team dynamics and how they played. Once Tuchel came in he spotted this and the rest is history, champions of Europe and top 4 in PL. I do not think anyone can challenge this. I only want what is best for the team and I firmly believe signing Abraham will be a terrible decision. It will end up in a situation where we are losing games, the manager continuing to pick him and the squad dynamics going from 100 to 0.

Agreed. Abraham is a goal hanger, not a worker. Doesn’t fit into Moyes style of play

With forwards such as Hlozec, Sima and Daka available, why are we even worrying?

Absolutely agree. He and his friend are trouble. Don’t care about Chelsea but Tuchel obviously is a perceptive Man-Manager. We do not need disruption in a team that so obviously bonds!!

I watched Tammy Abraham celebrating Chelsea winning the champions league as if he’d scored the winning goal despite not even setting foot on the pitch. The way he made sure he was at the centre of all the group photographs. It was quite embarrassing really.

Sam Allardyce fingerprints all over the Chelsea victory? Route one goal. Not the sort of thing that Tammy would want to associate himself with. He’s best off out of there. Nobody wants to play with that sort of football.
