Chelsea player said No with ten minutes to go

|

Chelsea player Fikayo Tomori said no to West Ham at 10.50 pm this evening with just ten minutes left in the Premier League transfer window.

Jim White speaking on Sky Sports News after 11 pm quoted a source close to the club thought to be joint-chairman David Sullivan.

He revealed West Ham had agreed to pay the Chelsea centre back wages in full and a loan fee had all been agreed between two clubs.

West Ham had created the necessary paperwork for a loan deal sheet to be submitted at 11 pm but the player turned down the deal and refused to put his name to the paperwork.

The 22 -year-old who has a contract until 2024 at Chelsea is thought to earn £75,000 per week.

He has decided to remain at Chelsea and fight for his place despite having five centre backs at the club.

No deal sheets have been submitted by West Ham to the Premier League before 11 pm and no new signings will be made today.

    And we sold Diagana why?

    • The Cat says:

      Exactly…….. That’s what I’d like to know???

      Transfer Deadliine Day……..Déjà vu?

    • Hollywood Hammer says:

The way our team is playing,Zi don’t think Diangana would get much game time.

Good luck to Tomori in the reserves at Chelsea the club which has so many players it doesn’t know what to do with them all. If he’s lucky he might get to play in the early rounds of a cup competition before Chelsea get rid of him when the window opens again in 2 and a half months time.

  • Hammers64 says:

We are better off looking for players in the Championship ie Rodon rather than prima Donna’s like him.Let the clown flounder in the Chelsea reserves.Trouble is they are so spoilt now and on such ridiculous wages that this is usually the outcome. Why bother playing when you can sit on your lazy arse.

    • The Cat says:

      Totally agree…
I remember Shaun Wright-Phillips doing the same thing. I bet he regrets his career choices and foolishness now. Shows a total lack of ambition and desire!
Which is what our youngsters with ability have.
If Declan had remained at Chelsea there is no way he’d be half the player that he is now, amongst all of those young big time charlie’s.

What and absolute disgrace..20 man squad with 3 keepers included…this is one of the worst lies Sullivan has done .managed to keep the money..3 players gone no incoming…A 20 MAN SQUAD..wtf .!! Bring on the protests as quickly as possible more the better ..disgusting..pathetic disgraceful…lies after lies after lies …

    • Not to sure about the player really. But now Sully, Gold and Brady know how it feels to be strung along, promised something and end up with nothing!!

  • Jamie Hickman says:

If a player would prefer to rot in the reserves drawing his money than play football, then we’ve had a lucky escape. Not the kind of player we want anyway. More players of the ilk of coufal please. Hungry players with something to prove.

  • Childish says:

It’s an absolute disgrace..more lies..we will invest all the money in the team ..we have a squad of 20 ..that includes 3 keepers …when we get injuries we are done …Sullivan done his best to keep the money …disgraceful absolutely disgraceful

  • zahamoore says:

I suppose with Tomori the negotiations took place at the 11th hour since we didnt want to give Chelsea an opening to talk about Declan – so I dont have a problem with that

It does not excuse not making proper offers for other centre back options earlier

Hope fully we will bring in someone from the Championship to at least provide cover

  • Kevin says:

It was always west ham’s intention to search around the championship for hungry players.
Reckon we escaped making a big mistake when Loftus Cheek decided against the move .
( the less we get involved with Chelski the better )
There are still ten days remaining and I feel sure we shall make a few signings by then .
Moyes knows better than anyone where we need to fill the gaps . I know it’s difficult but we must remain patient and calm . Keep the faith .
