Chicharito & Antonio out for Watford

|

HernandezHSWest Ham will be without Javier Hernandez, Michail Antonio and Sam Byram on Sunday as West Ham face Watford away. Chicharito picked up a hamstring injury on International duty with Mexico and is rumoured to be out for up to three games but will be further assessed by Gary Lewin’s medical staff at Rush green.

Antonio remains crocked with a rib injury admitting his frustrationĀ earlier this week on BT Sport that he cannot train and can only watch from the sidelines as Moyes took charge.

Meanwhile, Sam Byram is not scheduled to return from a thigh strain until December and Nathan Holland has undergone an operation which could keep him out for three months.

Jose Fonte remains a doubt for Sunday but James Collins should be fit enough for selection should Moyes decide to pick him.

Winston Reid will not return from International duty in time to play on Sunday

Is there any more detail than ‘rib injury’ for Antonio? I remember him hurting his ribs getting clattered weeks ago. Then he appeared looking unfit vs CP. it can’t just be bruised after this time & you assume they would know if it was a break. I am not a medical expert, so what else can you do to your ribs to keep you out (and unable to run according to him).

This is where truth is needed,a bruised rib surely doesn’t render you immobile, I hope it doesn’t drag on game by game,I think he could flourish under Moyes. COYI

I read Antonio was upset about being ruled out he wanted to play. And with Ribs u could argue he could play esp after 2 weeks.
But I like the caution in cases of bringing him back 2 earlier from Hamstring etc which we’ve seen & made it worse

And Aguero fractured a rib in a car crash. He was back playing in three weeks! Who was it Antonio collided with- the Incredible Hulk? You have to say that one thing we can beat the world at is getting injuries!

Hang on a minute… best winger, best striker and best defender are out..

Got a feeling prob AC will start but think Sahko might be the best to get at Watford.
Or he could do front 2 with them but on Ayew’s form of late he looks good as #2 striker. Tho could be used as RW

Talking of Ayew, since Payet left I read he has been involved in more goals/assists than any West Ham player, which may come as a surprise, he is actually our most creative player in terms of end results.
