Simone Zaza has agreed terms for a loan move to Valencia with €16m option to buy – a 9 million drop on the fee West Ham would have been required to find.
According to reports in Spain and Italy, Zaza has given the nod to join the La Liga outfit.
It’s another loan deal with an option to buy for €16m that will be triggered on 15 appearances.
It means that the Hammers will again pay only a part of the £2.5m loan fee remaining of his loan fee whilst shifting around £60k a week off the wage bill.
Good, like Bilic I had high expectations for him but other than the Palace game he was a disappointment.
Well he was given a chance but couldnt cut the mustard. He will probably go & score in his first match for Valencia now.
I just hope everyone has learned a lesson here and the club buys British in this transfer window starting with Hogan from Brentford who can follow in the footsteps of Antonio and Cresswell and make the step up in class from the Championship.
He was pretty much useless for us & it just goes to prove that the club panicked in trying to sign strikers in the summer. Let’s face it, most of the summer signings have been poor, but I think Zaza was by far the worst. Even Ian Dowie was better ! (& a thoroughly nice person – not to suggest that Zaza wasn’t). He probably will start to score goals now for Valencia – but he never did it for us !
Just watched Ben Yeddar score a hat trick for Sevilla.Another we were heavily linked with but went elsewhere *sigh*
I gotta say i salute you fellas who use this site. You say what you have to say & that is good enough.I cant hack these sites where there are hundreds of comments & they are from the same goons saying the same things over & over.Someone should give them a mic & a stage to stand on.They are clearly craving the spotlight.Either that or mummy didnt give them enough attention as kids.
now go spend the money on a real striker who is PL standard, The kid from Brentford is still a gamble, can he step up straight away & bang in the goals against the bigger teams?
