Classy Curbs stuns “lost wallet” fan

|

Former Irons boss Alan Curbishley has show real class when sending a lost wallet with a personal note to a fan who lost it on a London tube.

Walsall fan Oli Swift believed his wallet had gone forever until it arrived in the post with a hand written note from the most unlikely of people, Curbs. The note sent by Alan Curbishley

It read: “Dear Oliver, I hope this finds you well. I found your wallet on a tube in London. Hopefully it has not caused you too much stress! Now you can get in to see your team. Best wishes, Alan Curbishley.”

Oli immediately shared the news on Twitter declaring:” Alan Curbishley, of all people, found my wallet on the tube in London and sent it to Bescot, what a bloke.”

Fans were full of praise for Curbishley as they responded to the tweet which has been viewed 470,000 times.

One user said: ” I would expect no less from the great man.”

Another added: “Class from gaffer.”

A third added: “Doesn’t Curbs seem just the most likely manager to go out of his way to return a lost wallet? I’d back Steve Cooper from the current crop.”

Claret and Hugh says: Pure class. They don’t make many like Curbs anymore. To take the time and trouble to return this fan’s wallet with a personal note demonstrates that this is a man who is probably superb when it comes to the little matter of man management and given the situation at West Ham right now, need I say anymore. There certainly seem to be some tensions among the playing staff with the likes of Mikey, Vladi and even Manu Lanzini’s missus having words to say to Mr Moyes. Well done Curbs – that was real quality!
