Cottee explains why some fans are in uproar

|

CotteeheadphonesTony Cottee has attempted to explain why a section of fans are responding in fiery fashion to what’s going on at the club.

And he said: “I don’t think they know who they want. There is so much frustration at the football club.

“What you have got to understand from a West Ham fans point of view is they have left their spiritual home at The Boleyn, I know that’s been and gone and it was 18 months ago.

But West Ham fans reluctantly accepted that on the basis that they would be going to the London Stadium which was going to make West Ham a team that was going to try and compete to get into Europe.

“What we have found is the manager [Slaven Bilic] has been undermined, the players have lost confidence, the run of results has been poor, they played the first three games [of the season] away from home – so much has gone wrong.

“The fans are so frustrated. I think whoever you put in as manager at West Ham, the fans will be moaning at the moment because we are all so, so frustrated at what is going on at the football club at the moment.

“They haven’t won anything for 37 years, 37 years for West Ham. Swansea have won since then, Stoke, Leicester, Wigan, why can’t West Ham win something? That’s the frustration.

    He’s right.

The Dave’s need to shut their mouths, put down their smartphones, sit round the boardroom table and make some sensible, long term decisions, rather than craving the public eye at the expense of running the club. I’m sure they are doing what they think is in the best interests of the club, but we have an embarrassing culture that results in us constantly being in the public eye, and that needs to change. Change starts at the top.

The Catch 22 is this.To fill the London Stadium and create any sort of atmosphere West ham need to be playing at the upper end of the Premier League in an entertaining style and challenging for Europe. They will not do this on a net spend of £25m per year which was what has been the case over the last 3 years. D and S want success and then a possible sale but will not spend the money and that is not going to happen.Karen Brady’s figures released through The Sun are not honest. The continual spin and need to be in the limelight, the false promises, and the undermining of successive managers make the whole thing a joke. New ownership is needed.

Cottee is a pillock. The manager was useless and got most things that he wanted. Bilic says that he received full backing from the board. He then goes on about 37 years…. Cottee was there during that time and did a runner to Everton. Ex players are a pain.

Cottee isn’t the only ex player digging the board out is he , they are not liked because the truth is they have been found out for all reasons been discussed and in full public view ,
Dildo brothers says it all , they’re disrespected and a laughing stock across the footballing world !! They’re a complete embarrassment , something is wrong to be attacked from ex players ,they have insider connections , to my knowledge the scale of it has never been heard of before connected to a club ! Something needs to give !!
