David Moyes on transfers

|

David Moyes is desperate to add more quality to his squad this summer but says he has no great transfer update at present.

A striker, midfielder, centre back and goalkeeper are all wanted but adding quality to improve West Ham is not easy in the current summer transfer market.

“I want to add to ensure we keep on moving forwards. We need to get more competition, that’s the important thing if we want to keep the standards up.” Moyes said speaking to Premier Sports before kick-off at Celtic Park.

“But I’ll tell you what we’ve got and that’s a great group of lads. I’m really lucky because we’ve got a group of lads who are right on it, foot to the metal all of the time so hopefully we keep that going. We’ll find out what we can do in the future but we’ve got no great update at all.”  the 58-year-old added.

Moyes says he wants to kick on and break new club records next season pointing out West Ham came from relegation candidates to a team missing out on Champions League by three points

‘The job now is to get those three extra points and try and go one step better” Moyes finished his pre-match interview’

Moyes is paid to worry about transfers, I am not. If he believes this is a difficult transfer window, then presumably he will do his best. It seems all clubs are tight and don’t want to sell their assets at bargain basement prices.
Suspect there will be a flurry of last minute transfers as clubs realise they might as well take something than lose a player for nothing.

So late Mark, it’s open until the end of August!
We know the majority of deals will be completed between 23rd – 31st.
Sky sports news haven’t even started their transfer window show yet!
There’s a five week lead up until Jim White dons his gold tie😂
