David Gold has made it clear that West Ham is no longer a selling club.
The co chairman has grown heartily fed up “down the years” of seeing the club sell its prize assets and as a fan became particularly annoyed with those who had travelled to White Hart Lane.
Now, speaking on Twitter – and to ClaretandHugh – he has sent a clear hands-off message to clubs who may be eyeing up the likes of Diafra Sakho and Aaron Cresswell.
Speculation has been doing the rounds that Cressie could become a Manchester United target given the injury to Luke Shaw.
But Gold made it clear that none of our players are available as we head for a new era at the Olympic Stadium next season.
He told us: “I and everybody else has become heartily fed up with the ‘West Ham are a selling club’ tag that’ been attached to us. We are going to turn that round. We are building not selling.”
And he told a wound-up Twitter follower @chriscoyi84 the same after receiving a tweet wheich read: “I just read an article saying westham would sell cress, sakho, payet inJan to balance the books if true we should shut up shop now!!!!!
Gold responded: There are no plans to sell any of our best play ers. dg
As usual the anti hammer press are trying to unsettle, undermine are club.
Please just do one, COYI
Let the idiots say what they like, they aint in control of our transfers. They can bang on all they want.If another club wants to unsettle a player they will find ways of doing it regardless of the media. But yes Tiddy, would be nice if they just did one 😉
Loving the high brow, intellectual and mature comments on this site – so refreshing
You know what,i am absolutely sick of going on forums like this or WHTID reading pointless comments like yours. If you have nothing constructive to say then just dont bother.Go back to your own forums & bug eachother. What is wrong with people.Yesterday was that attention seeking fool on WHTID.Today it is you & COYI247.Im 68yrs old, enjoy reading forums & i dont need idiots like you trying to cause fights.Go bug your missus, take the dog for a walk, just stop trying to be a childish troublemaker!
Think you’ll find the correct parlance is “do one”
Yes very good. You have had your bit of attention.Well done.
Depends on the tense of the verb – do, did – are we assuming that we’re talking after the event or planning for them to undertake the ‘doing of the one’ in the future?
I think it should be an offence to entice players to break their contracts.
This would stop all the speculation and the Press would have to find something better to fill their tabloids etc.
Once a Player signs a contract it should be binding on both parties as all contracts in the business world are.
The only players allowed to leave a Club are those that have broken rules and therefore broken their contracts or those out of contract, surely this would stabilise the football industry’
Maybe Clubs could write into contracts that if a player was offered a step up from one Division to another then they may sell if the price is right and only one transfer window in the summer.
Like anyone is going to take your opinion seriously with a name like douchemore.Wetpants must he missing their clown.Back you go,theres a good man.
Can anyone explain how this max wages thing works? City-Chelsea-Arsenal can spend millions.and were at our max after 40mil?? Know they have LOADSAMONEY.. But how does it work..
% of income allowed for wages/transfers etc. Look at the sponsorship deals the top clubs have.
Shirt manufacture
shirt sponsor
training kit sponsor
stadium naming rights
training ground naming rights
sky money prem
BT money prem + CL
Overseas prem money
other sponsor deals….
thanx essex
Dickoncemore sounds and write very much like a visitor that was removed 1 or 2 weeks ago
Picking people up on their Gramma or making snide remarks,
Like on wetpants these ****ars don’t have anything in common with our club or its fans
They are idiots that have nothing better to do than try and bait proper fans,
It’s hard to do but the best way is to just print one word like
****HEAD
then if everyone does the same they will go away and play elsewhere
Back to D G I understand what your saying and agree, but these agents make their money by either upping the contracts of the players or seeking out other clubs to make more money
The players don’t seem to be able to see through it just thinking money, most end up at clubs that they are unhappy never playing half the time and searching for another club,
Hope we can keep these players happy if not make big profits and bring in others that want to play for our club
If – and I concede it’s a big ‘if’ – we are still playing this well, Slav continues to foster and grow the team spirit and inspire the squad, the players are still having the huge amount of fun they are evidently having and we’re still strong in the top half, why would anyone want to leave?
I assume we’re paying decent wages and have new stadium to look forward to, so what motivation would there be to move on? A couple of midweek games in the Champions’ League? Unless, of course, your name’s Amalfitano….
NOBHEAD try again
Dickoncemore
That’s better
NOBHEAD works for me
Hahaha, just when i thought you had gone rather tame recently bubs you have shown the old fire is still in there, lol.Yep,seems a weekly occurence that someone turns up just to stir sh*t or have a pop.Must get bored on Wetpants so deciede to start an arguement here. Each to their own 😉
Hey look on the bright side,we could have the big mouth from WHTID here every day.Life could be worse. How would we survive with him Calling Us Out all the time 😉
Still just an old romantic Rad
Never mind game tonight plus some beer,
