Diop’s former team mate knows what he wants

|

Issa Diop’s former Toulouse team mate Christopher Julien has revealed how the Hammers central defender has fired his ambitions to move into the Premier League.

Whether this is a hint that he could be on his way to the Irons is probably doubtful but with Manuel Pellegrini reportedly wanting a new central defender there may be a faint possibility perhaps of such a deal going ahead.

And were he to be of the same standard as Diop standard there is no doubt he would be a colossal signing but at this stage he is talking only of his own ambitions.

Apparently however, Issa is pretty well convinced that he will be following him into the Premier League.

Julien was moved to give an interview to France Football in which he spoke of his recent conversations with the Hammers central defender and of his feeling about the possibility of a PL move.

He said: “I saw him again recently (Diop). He spoke to me about a lot of things, like his adventure, how things were over there.

true that it’s enticing and it makes you want it. We know the Premier League is a super impressive league. He’s convinced I’ll be joining him there soon (smiles), but, as I said, I’m still at Toulouse and we’ll see about the future.”

“There’s no denying, I think it’s one of the best in the world. I’ve never hid my desire to play in a great league to then be able to up my level and reach other objectives.”
