Striker Elliot Lee paid a hugely moving tribute to Dylan Tombides after scoring for loan club Luton Town last night.
Elliott was a big pal of Dylan who passed away last year after battling testicular cancer for three years at just 20
The West Ham official site reported: “As his effort hit the net Elliott lifted his shirt to show a photo of the striker and the message ‘FOR YOU DYL. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.’ ”
Lee scored with before doubling his tally by starting a move that he finished with avolley. Sadly the Hatters lost 3-2 to Wycombe Wanderers.
He should be on our bench and getting 20 mins… maybe he is our Harry Kane
Kane was nearly shipped out before his old youth team boss became the big boss and promoted him, I am hearing this morning that Elliot Lee has signed a new contract thats great news but will BFS give him a chance ?
Another of our youngsters doing it a another club and getting no chance at ours,
Just how many goals has Lee got to score in how many different teams playing different styles before we relise he is a goal machine and should be playing for us,
I agree with Dainon how would 20 mins hurt in games this season
If Moyes was in charged he would have given him a chance the same as Rooney,Rodwell or Barkley not wait until he is 26 or 30
If he was going to give him a chance he would still be with us not on loan.He was sent out at the same time Cole got injured & we were left with only Sakho & Valencia available, until he went & got a free agent because we needed the numbers made up.Another brainwave by Sam.I will of course be in the minority having a go at Sam for this because as whambam pointed out in another post Sam still has alot support. So i apoligize for critizing the genius 😀
This isn’t a ‘BFS out’ rant!
However………. in order to blood youngsters in the first team you have to have an eye for talent yet to be tested and it would seem either the Dudley Dinosaur doesn’t have this or he just doesn’t take chances. It has to at least be the latter (maybe both) because he doesn’t take chances at all during matches.
In years gone by West Ham managers have played a youngster or two in the last few games of a season to try them out, unless we desperately needed to win the match. All we have at present is to play an under strength team in the League Cup.
Another reason to move on from our present sophisticated one.
