Fabianski has competition

|

Lukasz Fabianski’s future competition between the sticks will probably come from Academy youngster Nathan Trott.

The 20-year-old posted a video on Instagram of magnificent save against Liverpool worthy of Fabianski heroics this season.

One former Hammer in the guise of Carlton Cole was quick to say ‘Yes Trotty”

In March this year, Trott has signed a new deal, keeping the goalkeeper with the club until 2022.

Trott told West Ham TV a few months ago”Signing this new deal is a great moment for me. When you’re working hard every day on the training pitch, trying to perform as best as you can for the manager, and your hard work gets noticed, it’s a great feeling!”

The Bermuda-born shot-stopper first joined West Ham in January 2016 on the recommendation of former Hammer Clyde Best, and has regularly trained with the first team this campaign.

It is thought that Trott will be loaned out to a Championship club this coming season to prepare him as an understudy for Fabianski in the Premier League.

Think he should play cup games, if he goes on loan and warms the bench it’s a waste of time isn’t it?

  • Ray Bartley says:

This guy should be out on loan, preferably to a championship club, getting many matches under his belt before being asked to sit on the subs bench.
