Fans deliver verdict on the two Daves

|

ClaretandHugh blogger Scott Alsweiller has sent a passionate vote of thanks to David Sullivan and David Gold in his latest piece on the website.

In it he declares: “Most of us, myself included, will probably never get the chance to personally thank them for what they have done for us. But the gratitude is real. And this is one way to express it.

Messrs. Gold and Sullivan; thank you. You’ve saved, and given back to us, the club we love. You’ll lead us to our new home, and into future glory. We know that our future in in good hands.”

It may come as something of a shock to the joint chairmen after the regular roastings they have often received so how have the fans responded at the site’s forum and the Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/?fref=nf

David-Sullivan-and-David--001O That’s a good post fella, apart from Avram Grant and Sam Allardyce Messr’s Gold and Sullivan are the best thing to happen to WHU since a few eastend shipbuilders decided to take up Football after work over a century ago!

O Heartily endorse every word of a very good post..WELL SAID. And just watched David Sullivan on Sky Sports News. Great interview showed clearly how he loves the club. And has the same worries and feelings as the rest of us. Long may they stay.

O Very well said. I think we should all endorse this post so for once the two David’s will know their efforts are recognised by us all

O I wouldn’t change a single word of this post; I agree entirely with what is said and doubt there are many who do. Very well said!

O A great article well written and from the heart. Hope the Davids get to read it because I’m sure it echoes the thoughts of all true West ham fans

O 100% agree with you Scott! People are very quick to knock them, without, I think, fully taking stock of the amazing job these two men have done. I, for one, am VERY proud that they are our owners, and a big part of our West Ham family!
O Problem is everyone ignores all the wrongs while praising the rights. There is no balance. All there is, is blindness

Never ever knocked them just wondered why they did not get shot of Hippo earlier,
They had to get our ground back on the right track and have done it a lot quicker then I thought they would,
They are the best thing that has happened to our club for 30 years,
Even today it’s great finding out more good news about our growing squad of quality players,
    Good for you 2 Daves

How many clubs can say they have chairmen that support the club led by a captain who grew up in the area and supports the club and a manager who played/supports the club. Great stuff happening for us.

I will never forget the interview DS did on talksport when they bought West Ham, he was actually crying with the sheer emotion of taking over the club he loves and i’m not ashamed to say i shed a tear with him as we had been close to being in big trouble with our finance’s.
