Galey says Hammers top four finish is realistic

|

gALEFormer Hammer Tony Gale has told Sky Sports that West Ham now have a realistic chance of Champions league football next season.

The Hammers have lost just two of their last 19 matches and remain within one point of  Manchester City and the Champions League qualification spot.

Galey told Sky Sports News: “(Top four) is realistic now – with the last couple of results, I think it’s brilliant. It’s how they have gone about it, as well. When they had their injuries, Slaven Bilic got five draws in a row and that was key. They kept their confidence up. It’s a great season and they are very good to watch.”

Gale made 294 appearances for the Hammers over a decade between 1984 and 1994 scoring 5 goals. He joined West Ham in August 1984 for £200,000 from Fulham leaving on a free transfer ten years later to join Blackburn Rovers.
