Giroud setback for Hammers

|

Olivier-Giroud1Olivier Giroud has told the official Arsenal podcast he wants to stay at Arsenal to carry on his ‘Good journey’.

“I won a few titles in my career, that is an important thing, but there is another thing which is important for me and that’s that the people see you as a loyal warrior on the pitch — that you always give your best for the team, That’s why I want to carry on my good journey at Arsenal and I always want to give my best. I would love to win another title or maybe more until the end of my contract.”

“The motivation is here, always doing your best to make your family proud.”

Maybe he will stay but i wont take anything like this too seriously.I have heard it all before from players who lavish praise on the club, the manager, the fans & then a week later naff off 😁

The player knew he was a bit part player and signed a new contract last season, his situation will only change if he is not needed and not playing at all which could jeopardise his French national team spot (although to be honest they don’t seem to have any other players similar to Giroud so maybe not) he is on easy street at Arsenal, plays for maybe 30 minutes a game and picks up over 130k a week, straight to the back burner imho, if you want a Giroud like player that is hungry go for Slimani he is reported to be unhappy at his lack of playing time for Leicester he is also a lot more mobile than Giroud and will guarantee you goals if played regularly.

Aah so that’s what he meant when he said ‘I want to win another title at Arsenal’, he was including titles he won before moving there. Well English isn’t his first language I guess.
