Gold tells fan to have a lie down

|

goldWest Ham Joint Chairman, David Gold has suggested one West Ham fan called Danny have a lie down after he suggested that the owners had sold our souls.

Danny messaged the 80 year old chairman on twitter to say: “Been going to the Hammers since 1978. you have sold our soul, our club and a huge part of our lives. Been (to) both Premier League games”

Gold replied “Pull yourself together Danny we are 4 games into a new season and just moved into new iconic stadium. Lie down dg

Gold played down the recent hysterics in the media about the London Stadium troubles saying:

“50 years ago we put a man on the moon. So I don’t think it’s beyond the wit of man/woman to solve the problems at the new London stadium. dg”

Confidentially adding: “The stewarding issue will be resolved. dg”

The chairman also emphasised the club’s ambitions at the new stadium despite the teething troubles by saying: “There’s absolutely no reason why we can’t be playing in the champions league with in the next five years. dg”

There is more than just this Danny mush need to have a lie down.I would hate to see some of our fans in a real crisis. They would sh1t their pants.

  • oldgit says:

‘Danny’ must be a TOWIE type of pillock

    • GW says:

Or a WHTIDOWIE kind of pillock 🙂

      • RickHammer says:

They must be disappointed we are away this weekend. They will have no stadium dramas to report on through their first hand experiences from thousands of miles away 😀

        • GW says:

Don’t worry Rick they’ll be analysing the seating layout at WBA, the circumference of the ball and how Brexit is to blame for everything from the side of there local fjord 🙂

  • Stan The Man says:

It’s all getting a bit ZZzzzz now.Much of it is just whining for whinings sake..
Oh I hate corporate West Ham
I hate this new branded West Ham
    You have sold our soul..
    Blah,blah,blah.

    • sleepswithdafishes says:

exactly. If it’s so easy for them to have their soul sold, then they didn’t have one in the first place.

  • sleepswithdafishes says:

There will always be someone who wants to prove wthe move was wrong, and will jump on any band-wagon to help them.
But this danny geezer is certainly a pillock, as oldgit says.
Should be easier to ship these sort of cry-babies out and re-allocate tickets to the 50,000 waiting list.

  • RickHammer says:

I have got to the stage now after reading all this over dramatic bolloxs from some fans that yeah screw it if you dont like it then don’t bleedin go anymore…I started off by having sympathy for some but now it is just seems to be more & more tosspots shouting off for the sake of it.

  • bubs says:

    It’s just so dramatic,
Years ago they told us to where seat belts everyone said not doing it
Then they banned smoking in pubs Not doing it
You got nicked for riding your bike on the path ?
    Or 2 on a bike ?
    That’s not a three some,
Never going to pay £1 a gallon for petrol or £1 for a packet of fags,
It’s life and that’s that if they ban standing and throw 16,000 out
They will replace them with 16,000 others who sit
The quicker we get this over with the better

  • Sams P45 says:

Haha I would love to have been what they would be like if we had ended up with Randy Lerner or one of these faceless consortiums that turn up without a clue about football. What if we got Tony Fernandes when he wanted the club.He did a blinding job at QPR didn’t he..Not!!
Or how about Vincent Tan at Cardiff. Some of our fans would have turned inside out through their buttholes if our club colours had been changed
Or maybe the Venkys at Blackburn, would these w#nkers have preferred owners like them haha 😀

    • GW says:

P45 they’d only be happy if they had control of the club what with there vast experience of football manager, Fifa and transfer market.com 🙂

      • Sams P45 says:

Haha, youtube is the way to go.If you watch 30secs on that you can judge them immediately. It is the quickest way to decide if someone is a minger or not 😀

        • GW says:

Yeah sack Tony Henry immediately he is not needed anymore! Invest the money by giving free broadband to the you tube Minger patrol who are obviously more qualified 🙂

  • Stinger says:

Wish David Gold would learn to keep his stupid mouth shut. The guy is such a pathetic moron. Sooner him and Midget boy Sullivan fck off from our club the better.

    • Sams P45 says:

Yeah they think the same about you Stinger. What a fecking **** head you are.

      • Stinger says:

Well thought our reply there. Did you have to ask your Mummy and Daddy for help.

Despite My Hugh Southon being so far up David Golds Backside he will never be able to wash the stink away no matter how many times he washes. Take a step back from this propaganda site and take a look at every other West Ham forums and Blogs, or even better trying ask the average West Ham fan in the street or THOSE THAT PAY THEIR HARD EARNED TO GO TO THE GAMES for their opinions on what is going on and how they feel about the owners and that **** of a woman Brady. You might be in for a very big surprise and even better you may even learn a thing or two.

Thankfully David Gold is 80 years old now, so we might not have to put up with him destroying this clubs soul for much longer.

        • Sams P45 says:

I have been to every game this season thanks so don’t start all that go to games fecking bullsh1t with me!!
Got to love the mummy & daddy reply as well.I never tire of that one,its a fecking cracker.
Anyway you have showed what a sh1te you are with your remark about Golds age you scumbag!
Oh & thanks for the CAPITALS,it highlights well the bit where you are stamping your feet & chewing on your dummy.

          • Stinger says:

So wishing David Gold would retire makes me a scumbag? O’k good logic there.

From reading your other posts it is perfectly clear you have never been to Watch West Ham live ever. Like most others on this site.

          • Sams P45 says:

Well seeing as I rarely post here you wouldnt have a clue whether I went or not.Go back under your bridge or troll somewhere else.

          • Stinger says:

You rarely post on here.? I guess if posting pretty much every day is rarely posting, O’k then.

          • Eddie says:

Actually I dont see P45 post on here that much or everyday. Why is that a problem for you Stinger. Are you on site watch here while you are not working out how to sound like a deranged lunatic.I always think it would be great if people used the same name on all sites. It would keep it cosy & people like you wouldn’t come from one site to another shouting the odds before going back to your normal site & resuming on there using your other name.Funny thing is I see a lot of your writing style in one of the guys from a sister site.It really isn’t too difficult to see it if you know what to look for.Keep going & I should have you pinned down 100% by the end of the night.Im 90% sure already.

        • Stinger says:

Good luck with that Eddie, As I Don’t post on any other West Ham site.

          Btw, ever heard of paragraphs?

          • Eddie says:

Ever heard of growing up & stopping acting like a spoit brat.
Yeah that old chestnut ” I dont post on any other west ham sites”..people like you never do do you…

      • JB says:

Stinger is probably one of the tw@ts who writes these tweets to Gold.He seems to have the one brain cell that qualifies him.Im surprised he said ‘OUR’ club & not ‘MY’ club.

        • Stinger says:

Don’t use ****ter, never will. It’s for little girls like you JB.

Greatest thing about this site is how clearly very few of it’s member have never actually been to a game, either at the new soulless bowl, or the Boleyn.

As for David Gold, I would not waste my spit if he was lying on the ground on fire. Him and Sullivan have killed our club, all in the name of greed. Neither actually give a single toss about West Ham United.

  • Tone says:

Oh really,no one from here goes to games huh??
You are the biggest piece of **** I have come across on forums. You are a f#cking embarrassment to our fqnbase. Its people like you I would happily love to watch walk straight in front of a lorry.SCUMBAG!!!!!!!!

    • Stinger says:

      LOL.

I’m the piece of **** yet it is you wishing death on someone. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Wonders if anyone on here has even spoke to another West Ham fan. Because none of you seem to have the first clue about the club and what is going on at present. Perhaps none of you even care. In which case my points have been proved.

Still, best let you all get back to your constant Wetpants (what ever the feck that is about, I don’t know) jokes and jibes. It’s all you seem to have in your life’s.

      • Bob says:

And there it is all clearly laid out.A man,i use the term loosely come over from the other site to cause trouble.Enough said.
Do you honestly know how childish you sound with these comments about never speaking to a west ham fans or never going to matches.I mean really just how childish you sound. My 6 year old grandkid sounds more grown up than you.I suggest you take more lemonade in your shandy because you sound like a total jerk right now.

      • Tone says:

Apologies Stinger I was out of order saying that. But accusing us of not going to matches when I have been going for north of 40 years was a bit out of order.
My st because we don’t all buy into your Gold aint worth spitting on line.Thats disgusting in my book.Oh well, each to their own as they say 🙂

        • Stinger says:

I guess my post about Gold not being with us much longer could have been taken the way you first thought having read it back. I just meant at 80 he would surely at some point want to retire.

I don’t like our owners at all, not one single bit ( Can you tell? lol) and I hate what they have turned our club into.

I should also say sorry about not going to games. Was pretty silly on my part.

Anyway, clearly on here I am alone in my opinions, so shall step out of it from here in.

          • Eddie says:

Stinger you ain’t alone. We know all is not rosie in the garden. We know there are problems to deal with but shouting & screaming on here won’t get it done any faster.I wanted to stay at Upton Park,i didn’t wan to go to the Olympic Stadium but it’s happened now so what we can do is only grit out teeth & get on with it.Go or don’t go anymore..
Anyway I think we should all draw a line under tonight I’m sure you are a good fella really…

          • Stinger says:

Eddie, You are spot on about “Go or Don”t go”. That is exactly what I have done. I have given my ST away. It has broken my heart to do so, after 27 years of loyal support.

So perhaps my opinion really does not count any more and those I wrongly had a pop at for not going now have a right to bite back.

  • Bob says:

Real charmer Stinger is isn’t he.So because people don’t scream shout wet their pants & go for Oscar winning performances about things it means they dont go to games. Now there we have the logic of someone who wouldn’t spit on gold if he was on fire.Yeah we have some lovely fans.Strange thing is that these mouthy ones are the ones who also think they give sooo much more to West Ham than anyone else.Like the club is so fortunate to have them as fans.
The day they realise how pathetic they sound shouting about selling souls & all that is the day they may,i only say may have grown up.

  • Radai Lama...Rises From The Ashes says:

Lol.Yeah I so can’t wait till Saturday when my mummy & daddy take me to my first ever match.I can’t wait, imagine it, I get to talk to west ham fans.I mean real west ham fans in the flesh looooooool.F*ck me I have read some sh*t before but Sting has just supplied a total blinder.

    • Eddie says:

It’s great isnt it.I have been going since the late 60s & now I have some loudmouth fool preaching to me about the club. And why? all because not everyone gets delirious & starts shouting & screaming like mad dogs on a daily basis on blogs.Does shouting your mouth off on football site make you a better fan.No it just makes you look foolish.

  • JB says:

Strange Stinger but you dont seem adverse to critisizing other sites yourself.I mean normally I woukd never copy & paste but seeing as you are having a pop about people talking about other sites, well…

    Stinger
    May 21, 2016 at 7:27 pm
I just assumed he was either a troll or one of those Sam Lovers who still feel very bitter.

He should join the singing site, loads still float about on there waiting for things to go wrong. Many had bets that Bilic would fail. Guess what? many of those have for some reason gone missing.

…So stinger it is alright for you to take the p1ss out of a singing site eh??.But how would you know about other sites..you say you dont use other sites…

  • Stinger says:

I said I don’t post on other sites. You don’t have to be a member of those sites to read those sites.

  • Radai Lama...Rises From The Ashes says:

Stinger is alright he has been posting on here for a long time.Good as gold normally.I aint having none of this never been to matches though, that is a bit below the belt lol

  • mooro66uk says:

I must be the odd man out on this site.Dad first took me in 1968, been going ever since if i could afford it. But apparently, according to stinger nobody else on this site ever goes to a match. Why on earth then would they be on a Hammers site? Fluck off you moron

  • Pull yourself together Stinger have a Lie down my friend

  • Everyone is entitled to opinion as long as they not personally abusive to another person in my book. I’d love to know where you used to sit the Boleyn and where you are now at the London Stadium. Serious question Btw.

    • Stinger says:

BMU. Season Ticket for 27 years. (Prior to BMU, Different parts of the ground) Gave away my Soulless bowl ST after 4 games because I have hated everything about the matchday experience there.

Before anyone says it is because we lost, not at all. Football and West Ham should be about entertainment and not just about results. Hence why I hated Allardyce so much, and why I think Bilic is like a breath of fresh air.

I feel that our club has lost it’s soul and is now just a shadow of what made it the great club in the world. I blame this on the owners and I am fed up of the crap they keep spouting in the media. Such as Gold trying to convince us that having the biggest Stadium in London is something fans should be proud of and want so badly. I don’t know ANY football fan who gives 1 single Tommy Turtle **** about the size of the Stadium.

How many the stadium holds is irrelevant, it’s who is inside the stadium that matters and how they support the club. It’s about the the atmosphere of that stadium, the feel, the history, the stories ect. The Boleyn was OUR stadium. We did fine there for 116 years. Yes we never actually won much, but who cares. When did supporting West Ham ever be about winning?

The Soulless bowl is not our stadium and never will be. (Not while the Dave’s are owners anyway), it does not even feel like a football stadium.

There was a very good reason against Watford why such a large section of fans were singing “Stratford’s a s**thole, I wanna go home”

More and more old school die in the wool West Ham fans are walking away, fair few younger fans as well. Perhaps that is what some want to happen, they want the new breed. But I think it is a crying shame.

Anyway on here I know I am alone. Perhaps in time I will be proven completely wrong. Sadly I cant see that being the case.

      Shall leave it alone now.

  • lol mooro66uk I wasn’t born until 1968 but didn’t start going to games regularly until the eighties when we used to call the old south bank our home and the Cearns family owned and ran our club.

  • RickHammer says:

Blimey Stinger you ain’t the only one who would rather be at UP but I aint going to walk away from supporting the team & if that means I have to go to the Soulless Bowl as you call it I will.Fair enough, you made your choice but others still want to go to watch the team & I expect they would still go & watch them if they play in an alligator invested swamp.Personally i can’t walk away that easily.
You have used this site long enough to know if most the lads on here ain’t happy about something they ain’t shy to say it whether it’s about the manager or owners lmao
Tbh I think they are like me after the last few weeks, sick to the back teeth of all this stadium stuff & can’t be bothered with reading about it day in day out.

    • Stinger says:

The Boleyn could have been extended. The owners have lied about that. Had we moved to a purpose built football stadium that we owned, we had full control of then I am sure many disgruntled fans would feel much different.

But me walking away is not just about the stadium. I will still support the club and will still try to go to as many away games as possible, though that will get more difficult in time as my priority points will stop.

There is so many reasons why many of us are walking away though. With every passing day it feels less and less like the West Ham United we all grew up supporting and fell in love with.

      • Stinger says:

PS Watching fans head-butt, kick, swear and shout at each other, kids crying there eyes out because they cannot see, older fans not being able to see the game due to persistent standing, fans in shirts of other teams, no policing, stewards who don’t have a clue how to do their job, Stop & Go signs, Westfields treating fans like they are sh*t on their shoes, awful and toxic atmosphere, poor segregation between home and away fans, ect ect ect. Have made for 4 very unpleasant machtday experiences.

But the stadium is not the sole reason for why many are walking away. It is that that hurts the most.

        • RickHammer says:

Well as I said Stinger I cant walk away that easily. When the team step on the pitch they are still eleven west ham players I support with a passion.
I guess everyone is different but most of the stuff at the OS is water off my back.So I had to walk round Westfield Saturday,so what,i really didn’t give a sh1t truthfully.I dont know buddy,i guess we are all different but I don’t find it toxic at all.Now where I grew up was toxic, the OS is a cake walk in comparison. If im honest i find it all a bit of a fart in a tea cup with regards to the so called violence.I have seen worse in my local chippy on a Friday night 🙂

      • It is true the Boleyn Ground could have bene extended but it wasn’t. I wrote an article in 2014 https://www.westhamtillidie.com/posts/2014/03/16/the-east-stand-that-was-never-built

It would have taken the ground from 35,000 to 40,000 but that would have been the limit. We were required to pay London Underground £1m to help improvements

40,000 was possibly the maximum the local transport infrastructure could take in Green street

  • OK so I admit was on dreaded SAB who were consulted about the move to the OS, for my part I wrote the board report collating hundreds of supporters fears and concerns and I have been openly pro stadium move since the early days. The deed is done now and you can’t look back! This is our home now for the next 99 years and we need to make it work!

Have the two Daves and Brady got things wrong since they took over? Absolutely! Was the OS migration policy flawed? Absolutely! Should the landlords, operators and club foreseen some of the recent problems? Absolutely!

Will all these problems be fixed by next season and normality return? Absolutely!

  • This article from an outsider sums it up perfectly for me

    http://www.thefootballfaculty.com/2016/09/14/has-west-hams-spate-of-football-hooliganism-been-wildly-exaggerated/#comment-1464

Btw Stinger I have been to four out the five games at the London Stadium. I stand in block 113 row 19 in the West Stand and haven’t seen half the problems you claim to have seen

I have seen all the things you mention on social media but not with my own eyes and there is a different.

With over 275,000 at those games the amount of fighting and people wearing other football shirts is a tiny fraction. In my block the stewards have been fine although I accept many of them look very young and inexperienced. The atmosphere has been good in our block and far from soulless but it will take some getting used to.

I did witness one fight at the Bournemouth game outside the stadium. One ****ed up West Ham fan was having a pop at a Bournemouth fan but to be fair the stewards and security quickly death with it, not before someone recorded it and put it on youtube though.

The problems are being exaggerated out of all proportion although the one game I did miss was last Saturday against Watford.

    • Stinger says:

The problems are in fact being downplayed by this site (the only WHU related site to do so I might add) and our owners are closing ranks and blaming everything on everyone else bar themselves. So what’s new there though.

The reality however is quite the opposite.

You must be very very lucky as you are the first fan I have seen say “the Stewards have been fine”

Many of the Stewards there are also bouncers at nightclubs and they are being very heavy handed with fans and even worse offering some out for a fight.

As for the bag searches and security? Oh where to begin. A terrorist would have a field day with the total lack of security,

It has been a total cluster fck from start to finish, but never mind hay, because we now have one of the largest stadiums in London, and that is all that matters isn’t it not?

Plus to all the loyal fans walking away, what is it Karen Brady famously said to one famous West Ham fan, “that’s O’k, we will always find new and better fans”

      🙁

      • ‘I accept there are big stewarding issues I am just saying we haven’t had poor stewarding in our block. In fact one of the stewards is a former west Ham steward although I have seen others doing car park duty and guarding steps.

If you went to the Boleyn for so long there were a catalogue of problems there but we just got used to them.

There were fights and trouble at the Boleyn Ground quite frequently, they just didn’t make the BBC Ten O’Clock news because no-one cared

        • Stinger says:

As I say, it’s not all about the new Stadium though. So much more to it than that.

Sure everyone already knows this, but just for a laugh. Rearrange the letters of West Ham United and you get “The New Stadium”

Anyway, calling it a night. Sorry for any offence caused. Shall stay away for a while.

          Night Everyone.

          • Radai Lama...Rises From The Ashes says:

No need to stay away Stinger, dont be silly mate. You have been on here a long time, you shouldn’t need to stay away 😉

        • Radai Lama...Rises From The Ashes says:

Lol yeah it wasnt like there was never punch ups at the Boleyn between our own was it.Jesus I must have forgotten more I saw than I remember back when it was standing 🙂

      • Radai Lama...Rises From The Ashes says:

Lol Stinger I couldn’t give a flying f*ck if gold, sullivan & brady f*cked off tomorrow mate.I have no feeling towards them either way but I aint going to come on here to bullsh*t about having a horrendous, toxic experience.I ain’t,me & me mates aint.Six of us go together every week & we aint had any of this toxic experience. If I had i would say I have because I owe the board jack sh*t but I just aint had this awful, awful experience I keep reading about.Yeah the stewards are pants but so f*cking what,it will get sorted.I slagged the board for keeping Hippo & I certainly wouldnt have a problem slagging them off if I thought my experience was sh*t but I hasn’t been.Btw of course many of the stewards are also bouncers or ex bouncers,i used to do bouncing & security,it often goes hand in hand.
And don’t even try popping at me about no paragraphs,im on my phone & I’m having a mare lol 😀

  • RickHammer says:

Decent read Sean, some good points.I dont know if you should have admitted you were on Sherry And Biscuits, sorry I mean Supporters Advisory Board. This dark secretive organisation that no one has a Scooby about or what they do 😉

  • mooro66uk says:

Sorry lads fuffed up there. meant 1958. Jesus Sean your just a puppy. When you get as long in the tooth as me (if your still lucky enough to have some) then you just don’t want to hear all this defeatist crap. I’ve had so many disappointments over the years that nothing can deter me any more. COYI X
