Gold’s Valencia update

|

Valencia_3191610David Gold has  expects striker Enner Valencia to return to the Irons squad against Stoke next weekend.

The £12million marquee summer signing has been out for over a month after cutting his toe on a teacup.

But asked on Twitter whether the Ecuador striker would be fit for the arrival of Mark Hughes’ side he said: ” Valencia should be fit for the Stoke game.”

After a poor run of form, Sam Allardyce is under pressure in the Hammers hot seat and with his contract expiring in the summer, he will be hoping Valencia can return and hit the ground running against Stoke City on Saturday.

I hope that the decision about Allardyce’s future doesn’t dipend on next games. All he had to prove has already been proved; these last matches can’t change anything, the owners should think about the potential of the manager and they should not base their choice on some possible victories… but I must have said it a hundred times, all we can do is wait and hope for the best.
