Half time: Fantastic Hammers roar back!

|

HT Hammers 3 Saints 0

It was a case of men and boys at the London Stadium as we roared into a three goal lead.

The Hammers could hardly have played any better in a first half which was as good as anything we’ve seen from them at the London stadium.

Despite an early injury to Michail Antonio, they were all over a dreadfully poor Saints and went ahead through a thunderous 16 yard rising drive from Joao Mario goal and two from Arnie – the second almost on the stroke of half time..

They won all the challenges and quite simply tore this Saints side apart. Everything about us has been absolutely spot on and the crowd have been fantabulous.

It could hardly have been any different to the horrors of three weeks ago as they went into the game from the first second with tremendous intensity.

Declan Rice was different class at the back and a word for Fernandes who was at it from the moment he came on. Terrific stuff. More of the same second half please.
