Half time: Palace 0 Irons 0

Half Time Palace 0 Irons 0

The first shock was seeing Roberto in goal after David Martin failed a fitness test.

The second was seeing him paw an early corner – not unnaturally aimed right under his bar –  clear and the third and fourth were watching him refuse to collect as he punched two more clear.

Beyond that he had very little to do and although Palace saw thee best chance of the half impossibly screwed wide by Ayew after a Zaha inspired move.

The Hammers had little to worry them apart from that although failed to make any real chances of their own but h Antonio lifted on shot over the top and curled another into the keeper’s arms.

We had one other great opportunity when Snodgrass rushed forward and just failed to find Fornals in the clear  with his pass.

Zaha was a constant menace although Zaba did well in the main backed up by Balbuena when the pair got involved in a doubling up operation.

Antonio was probably denied a penalty when Antonio was the victim of a clear shirt tugging incident but the Irons were out of luck with that one as play was waved on.
