Hammer being devalued with every passing game

|

West Ham have no intention of releasing Felipe Anderson from his and FC Porto’s misery unless they can find a team ready to take him on loan.

The running story today (Tues) that Porto are ready to allow him to return to the Hammers is one thing but it’s entirely down to the Hammers whether they do so,

As reported here earlier today there is no release clause in the Brazilian’s deal with Porto who remain desperate to offload him back to us where he has 18 months left on his current deal.

The Hammers are unhappy that he has only played 49 minutes of football since arriving back in Europe.

And ClaretandHugh understands there is no chance of  the Brazilian returning to the east end unless the Hammers find a club ready to take him on and give him plenty of playing time.

Currently his value is being devalued with every passing match as he is unable to even make the Porto bench and has played a mere 49 minutes since arriving at the club.

Absolutely makes sense to try to get another loan for him where he will get more playing time. From a financial point of view letting him lose value is pointless given that reinvestment in the squad is likely going to be funded by transfers out of those deemed surplus to requirements. Even taking him back and getting him to train hard and compete for a place is better than doing nothing. Who knows with Covid and cancelled games a situation may arise where there is fixture congestion that means players will be need resting and rotated more.

can he be loaned again as he will then have played for three clubs in one season??

On the bright side – he should be fresh and rested after his holidays. Ready to play at his best for West Ham United. Then he’ll be worth a few bob, too.
