Hammer Ings wanted by Palace report

West Ham striker Danny Ings is reported as being wanted by Crystal Palace.

Hammer Ings wanted by Palace report

That comes from Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth who claimed it to be the case in a transfer blog on the site today.

If he is right then both Palace and Wolves are now keen to sign a player and in tug of war such as that it means the price will escalate which it would need to if we are to get the ridiculous £15 million we paid for the former Villa man.

Southampton too are likely to be entering the race although whether Ings would be ready to join a non Premier League club given interest elsewhere is doubtful.

The Hammers, however, are being reported as being reluctant to let him leave despite him not having found the net for us in the Premier League  since the two he managed against Nottingham Forest LAST FEBRUARY!

Sheth made the obvious point reported elsewhere that we may not be ready to allow him to leave given Mikey Antonio’s injury problems which could keep him out for six weeks.

Add to that the inability of Divin Mubama to make a serious impression and it seems more than possible that David Moyes may choose to keep the striker until the summer.

The club really are on the horns of a dilemma with such a situation as Ings looks as far from solving the problems up front as it gets.
