Hammer joins Bradford for remainder of season

|
BurkeHammer Reece Burke has extended his loan spell at League One side Bradford City until the end of the season despite interest from Coventry who also wanted him on loan. The 19-year-old U20 England international has made a total of 18 appearances so far, scoring once for the Bantams. He was nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for October 2015.So far, the 2014/15 Young Hammer of the Year has made ten first team appearances for the Hammers in all competitions.

Manager Phil Parkinson told the Bradford official website:
“Reece has really enjoyed his time at the club so far and we look forward to having him back in training. Reece has re-signed with us. He would have signed a couple of weeks ago after the Gillingham game if it wasn’t for his wrist injury. Obviously it has been in the press about other clubs wanting to sign him, which you would expect because he is a terrific young player. In fairness to Reece and his father though, I’ve had a lot of dialogue with them and they have always been completely committed to coming back here.”
