Hammer singled out for special praise

|

Kevin Nolan of West Ham United

West Ham’s backroom staff have not been given anything near enough credit for what’s gone at the club this season.

David Moyes, rightly, has taken enormous praise for his stewardship as manager during his second spell at the London Stadium.

And he can take much credit from the staff he has appointed to back him as he has shaped a West Ham revolution in the most difficult of circumstances.

But former midfielder Robert Snodgrass has drawn attention to one guy in particular on the Moyes team whom he believes is absolute quality.

Snoddy more than earned his stripes with the club during his time with us and is in a good position to reveal the top men behind the scenes.

And it will come as no surprise that he has singled out Kevin Nolan for special respect in comments first given on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily Podcast,

He said:“We had some young lads at West Ham and me and Mark Noble would take the young lads out and do some shooting drills with them, do crossing.

Stuart Pearce was unbelievable as well. Kevin Nolan was different class, you know, he was always working on the young boys’ weaknesses.”
