Hammers beaten at home… again

|

West Ham were poor again at the London Stadium as they were beaten 2-0 by Leicester City, in a result that is only going to pile even more pressure on beleaguered David Moyes.

The Irons came into the game well aware that they needed to win to arrest a real slump of form, having lost to Crystal Palace at home last week, and been knocked out of the cup by Blackburn on penalties in midweek, but the Foxes were simply sharper throughout the game, and deserved their victory.

The Hammers boss made a strange decision in the warm-up; Kurt Zouma appeared to pick up an injury but he was trusted to play, even though he lasted just 15 minutes.

It is little surprise, then, that Leicester opened the scoring within those first 15, as James Maddison rifled the ball into the roof of the net after a clever lay-off from Patson Daka.

Said Benrahma forced a good save from goalkeeper Danny Ward but it could have been two after 39 minutes, when Craig Dawson chopped Daka down in the penalty area and a spot-kick was awarded after VAR intervened.

Youri Tielemans stepped up and saw his spot-kick saved by Lukasz Fabianski.

The Hammers had a let-off from the spot but couldn’t take advantage in the second half, with Declan Rice heading what was perhaps the best chance over the bar.

And the game slipped beyond the Hammers in the 77th minute; having been sent through on goal, he sprinted away from Nayef Aguerd and finished under Fabianski.

It leaves the Hammers with just one win from their last six games, which is the kind of form that will have the Irons looking anxiously over their shoulders.

The best thing we can say here is that we won’t have to watch the Hammers play until Boxing Day. Right now, that feels like a relief.

I missed the first half, and from what I saw of the second at least we tried to hav a go. But worryingly for all the possession and ball we had, we didnt actually create much and never looked like scoring.
Desipte what moyes says we are in relegation battle now, and I’m worried because at the minute I honestly dont see where the goals are going to come from to keep us up.

One point off the relagation places & not looking like we have a goal in us
Yet again Moyes shows he has lost the plot…Zouma gets injured in the warm up yet the clown starts him anyway, no plan B as usual & same substitution’s that have no impact on the game at all as usual.
Surely the board have to take action immediately & sack him A.S.A.P…….
Porch or Tuchel stii available, so take action now Sullivan & get this dinosaur out of our club…….

It will come down to the Brentford game on 30 Dec. We’ll most probably lose to Arsenal so lose to Brentford and he’ll be gone.

Forget Tuchel or Poch – both are cheque book managers and won’t get that at West Ham. The man who fits the GSB mould is…Sean Dyche. Mark my words.

As much as we need Moyes gone, hoofball Dyche is an even worse option

Simply not good enough , the players. Need to look at themselves ! . Wake up lads , the fans deserve better ! It’s hard earned money to watch you lot !

Uts all very well shouting Moyes out. The so called alternatives of Pochinetto and Tuchel ain’t going to happen as they will only go for champions league teams with bottomless money. The suggestion of Dyche is ludicrous! So who else because the spare manager pool is empty. Moyes got us out of two relegation scraps so go for the hatrick if needed. After break we have 23 games and hopefully full squad fit and better integrated.
