Hammers challenge Arsenal for Championship starlet

|

West Ham are planning to challenge Arsenal for the services of Bournemouth forward Ajani Burchall this summer according to reports.

The Bournemouth teenager became the Cherries’ third-youngest-ever player after he was substituted on late in the club’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town back in December last year.

At only 16 years of age, Burchall still attends school and despite being with the club since 2016, recently snubbed the offer of a scholarship deal at the Championship side.

Burchall predominantly plays wide and is an exciting forward player who likes to take opponents on and has an eye for goal, while also being a hard-working, tough-tackling winger. He can play across the front three.

Born in Bermuda, Burchall came through the younger age groups with the AFC Bournemouth Academy.

He began to play for the under-18s at the start of the 2020/21 season and has played in the majority of matches for the youth team.

His progress was noted by manager Jason Tindall who gave his debut but the South Coast side may have to rely on compensation set by a tribunal ifhee leaves for free this summer.

I like moves like these not always when they are snubbing the deal bc we know how that feels but I think we should go for more young talent in EFL prepare for Future. He is Bermuda lad too so would like Trott tho switched to England & of course probably be a fan of Clyde or know of him. Who recommended Trott & always talks up Bermuda born players.
I think Johnson is doing wonderful & I like him as LB think better then RB. But with Masuaku injuries & Creswells age I still think should look at LB & we have been. Though one in surprised we haven’t been linked with since Moyes always talks about Scottish players is Josh Doug at Hibernian. At 18 now started the season very well hasn’t played every game but at LB or LWB has very good foot work beat his man likes to get fwd & good cross on him think 4-5 assists & 2 goals. Seen couple months ago would cost under £2m which would be a bargain imo!
You look at Liverpool who got Elliot from Fulham god he looks amazing with Blackburn at 17 him linking up with Armstrong. So in for these moves but we can’t just let them sit in U23s need right loan loves for them too.
It’s also a good business move imo bc if get that talent say we bought Toney from Peterborough who was Smashing it then at £5m & loaned then have one future & if they don’t work out then make money off them as long as they go out & show they can play. We lost money off Sead Hakanbosnic who has been linked back with Top 5 move after a very good 2nd season & others just don’t get a chance sometimes.
But I believe in Moyes & really hope he is backed in revamping the scouting system & Analytics. Hopefully still get DOF bc he can’t find every player & can’t go watch every game of player he is recommended.
