Hammers chase French right back

KevinFrench media claim that Saint Etienne have received a ‘good offer’ from West Ham for Kevin Malcuit. The 25 year old defender able to deploy in a number of positions including winger and striker but is mainly deployed as a right back.

Le10 Sport say Saint Etienne have rejected the bid but another before Tuesday’s transfer deadline isn’t ruled out claims the report.

In 2015 it was claimed that West Ham opened talks to sign the French defender from Ligue 2 side Niort but he decided to join St Etienne.

The Frenchman has made 20 appearances this season, 16 in Ligue 1 and 4 in Europa League providing four assists and ten clean sheets.  Malcuit was called up to the Morocco national football team in 2016.

Born in a suburb of Paris he started his youth career with Monaco.

    This guy has been linked a number of times to transfers, probably just paper talk but from the clips he looks like a proper defender but then again they all look like World beaters on youtube.

    I do think we need a right back. I’m sure I’ve heard it mentioned before. I like the look of these new boys calleri and feghouli too. Think they are going to do big things in 2017.
