Hammers defender very much on the mend

|

West Ham have no new injury worries ahead of the FA Cup fifth round game against Southampton on Wednesday evening.

David Moyes has no issues other than the Ryan Fredericks problem, Andriy Yarmolenko’s serious Ukraine difficulties, Arthur Masuaku’s knee problem and of course Angelo Ogbonna’s absence.

However, we are hearting from the club that the central defender is making very decent progress and is continuing to work on his upper body strength in the gym.

He will be looking to get back onto grass within the next month and there is some optomism that he could even make a return for the last couple of games of the seasonĀ  according to one member of the backroom staff.

Masuaku – despite having undergone recent surgery on his knee – still needs to have it washed out and there is no indication at this stage as to when he may be available for action.
