Hammers eye Lille striker

West Ham are reportedly keeping tabs on Lille striker Jonathan David as a summer signing , according to journalist Graeme Bailey.

The 24-year-old Canadian has impressed this season, scoring 14 goals in 21 Ligue 1 starts, making him a potential target for the Irons’ summer transfer plans.

David Moyes chose not to strengthen the position in January but is keep an eye on the front man s after West Ham’s struggles in front of goal this season.

The squad has been linked with other forwards, including Pedro Goncalves, but David’s prolific scoring record makes him a tempting option.

West Ham face stiff competition for David’s services, with Premier League rivals Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United all expressing interest.

A potential hurdle for West Ham is the uncertainty surrounding David Moyes’ future at the club. With Moyes’ contract expiring at the end of the season, it’s unclear if he’ll be the manager leading the team’s transfer strategy.
