Hammers forgotten man Maxwel Cornet needs a chance

Hammers forgotten man Maxwel Cornet needs a chance!

I find David Moyes a strange man to understand in the transfer market with the former Burnley player to have been signed and barely used, Like others before him is he set to be loaned out and eventually sold.

That hasn’t quite happened to him yet as it did to Nikola Vlasic and in part to Flynn Downes but given the injury problems in the squad right now surely the time has come to give the fella his chance.

It’s not as though Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma have made a great impression when given their opportunities after all,  whilst Cornet has created a decent impression on his very rare opportunities.

His brief appearances, having been signed for decent money- £16 million, have looked like an action replay of the Vlasic disaster at £25 million.

With no Bowen, Paqueta and Kudus and a very much out of form Benrahma on his hands, it’s to be hoped that Moyes will give Cornet his chance against a Bristol City team in what looks a very difficult FA Cup replay next week.

Should Moyes be planning to get rid of him,  that is another good reason to play him as he needs clubs to see what the guy has to offer.

So far this season he has made one Premier League appearance – briefly; two in the domestic Cups and five in Europe which by the way would appear to demonstrate that the competition at that level hasn’t been too high given how rarely Moyes uses him.

He is apparently fit after a complicated injury which kept him out of action for several months so why has had so few chances.

Yet another bizarre Moyes transfer market mystery.

Oh he need a chance to show what he can do. Never given a sniff ever since he’s been at the club.

Ridiculous by Moyes and by no means the first. Buy him, never play him, sell at a loss, in this area of management Moyes is woeful.
