West Ham decided to return to the bad old days and allow Liverpool to run over them.
It was one of the worst performances of a terrible season and here’s how the ClaretandHugh Facebook followers responded @https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/
O They’re already on holiday
O The atmosphere here in the stadium is as if the fans have also gone on holiday, and never good to see so many walk so early.
O Embarrassment today
O Don’t mind, ( so much), being beaten by a better team, but the players weren’t even putting the effort in! 😩
O Kouyate and Noble were missed today!
O Hope never to see Calleri in our colours again – he isn’t a striker!
O I don’t care WHO they are but they’ve GOT to put a decent shift in-and today they didn’t!😡
O Far too much mediocrity in our squad and gambles that failed dismally. Its a cruel harsh world in the Prem and many of our players have exhausted their chances they are worth persevering with.
OAh but they did beat Tottenham, season done.
If Ayew hadn’t missed a sitter from 2 feet; may have given us some umph
O He’s our most expensive player! Oops
O I wish I’d been told our season finished last week against Spurs because I would not have bothered wasting my Sunday
O Unprofessional to say the least. Fine them a weeks wages for lack of effort
The punters gave their verdict on the Season by giving ‘the lap of appreciation’ the cold shoulder yesterday – a totally underwhelming Season, best forgotten!
Whilst I can give them credit for some things, the Board of Directors have taken us for mugs for far too long. I’m sick and tired of their bull**** – the deceit and complete lies. Not to mention their incompetence in the transfer market.
This season was meant to be a new dawn for West Ham United. I can forgive the team for not finishing 4th last season (If they’s beaten Swansea and Stoke in the last week of the season they would’ve done.)……. However, if Gold and Sullivan want West Ham to be a BIG club competing with the likes of Chelsea, and Man City…..they have to ACT like one. That means signing quality players like Lanzini and Payet, NOT mediocre players like Nordtveit, Masuaku, Feghouli, Arbeloa, Tore, Zaza, Calleri and Snodgrass. I really don’t want the likes of Pablo Zabeta or God forbid, John Terry at our club next season.
I don’t accept that excuses like the new stadium and Payet were valid reasons for us finishing in 11th or 12th place if we’re lucky. If Burnley win on Sunday they finish above us like Bournemouth will be if they don’t get hammered by Leicester. Eighth place would’ve been acceptable before the run of five defeats. All we’ve heard in the past two weeks is ‘we’re safe’……well that isn’t good enough. They should’ve been safe on January.
