Southampton have defender Virgil van Dijk out with an ankle injury ahead of our visit.
Cheikhou Kouyate is back in the West Ham squad having returned from the African Nations Cup while right-back Sam Byram felt his hamstring after the midweek 4-0 defeat by Manchester City and will be assessed.
Saints’ new striker Manolo Gabbiadini will also be involved, although manager Claude Puel has yet to decide whether to hand him a place in the starting line-up.
Robert Snodgrass look set to make his full debut after an impressive outing as sub against Manchester City with Jose Fonte making a quick return to his former club.
But Jay Rodriguez and James Ward-Prowse are back in training after spells out and could be added to the squad.
Anyone confident of any type of result against the Saints? The home game against them was very embarrassing. They were walking around us creating chances and making us look worse than Man City did. As Noble said after the game – it could have easily have been 0-6. Its another one of those dread the worst but hope for the best games. C’mon West Ham – we need some cheering up.
YES
If we go out there to win and not try to stop them with our dodgy defence,
Put Lanzini up top behind AC and Sdodgrass and Antonio out wide,
Obiang in front of Reid Fonte and Ginger with
Cressie and Byram if fit wing backs if he is not play Norvldt there give Noble a rest on the bench
Let’s give it ago from the start
Sooner win playing well then loose trying to get a point

Byram a doubt. He has only been back 5 minutes.
Snodgrass looks as if he might have a bit of fire in his belly. I wonder if he & AC can finally get a bit of fight into this side. We are so pathetic when we go a goal down. As Leroy said yesterday it is embarrassing- the attitude as much as the performance. Not pointing any fingers but it is something that has to be sorted out fast. Anyone got the stats for how many games we have won from a losing position. I can’t remember any but then I can’t remember the last match- that side in nice blue shirts, we did quite well didn’t we?
