Hammers have two rivals for striker

|

West Ham  are understood to be in a battle for Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis according to the Daily Mail.

Crystal Palace and Brentford are both claimed to be interested in the player who was relegated with the Hornets last season.

David Moyes is allegedly unready to spend a small fortune on a big name striker preferring instead to find a back up for Mikey Antonio but one who can also challenge him for a starting role and Dennis looks a good fit.

Dennis was one of the very few Watford stand out players last season scoring 10 goals and creating six assists in his 33 appearances for the team.

Although Brentford and Palace hold an interest in the 24 year old, the Hammers are favourites with the ability to offer him European football.

Although he is not out of contract until 2026 the Hammers would expect to pick him up for around £15 million which wouldn’t dent Moyes’ transfer budget.

Dennis can also play right or left wing which would make him a useful utility player.
