Hammers hunt for second keeper

|

EXCLUSIVE

West Ham have their sights set on a second goalkeeper signing for the club which looks likely to prove the end of the line for Adrian.

Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski – who looks set to agree a deal over the next couple of days or so – is not necessarily seen as the new Number One despite a widespread view that was to be the case when the move first became public.

However, ClaretandHugh has had it confirmed exclusively from two separate sources that the club is hunting a second stopper and that England’s Jack Butland remains on their radar.

It had always been the intention to shake up the goalkeeping situation and it now looks hihly likely that Adrian could be returning to Europe if the Irons get their man.

Whether that is Butland or not, the club are definitely in the market although there remains no agreement in place with anybody at this stage.

However, the news appears to kill off all suggestions that Polish keeper Fabianski has the field to himself and will automatically move in as the No 1 although Adrian’s position begins to look increasingly precarious.
