West Ham United are hot on the trail of Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda, with the Spaniard emerging as a potential summer steal. The 24-year-old’s expiring contract at the end of the season makes him a prime target for clubs seeking defensive reinforcements on a budget.

Miranda has been a revelation for Real Betis this season. He’s solidified his position as a dependable left-back, racking up 28 appearances across various competitions. Stats don’t lie – his defensive contributions are undeniable, averaging 1.5 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, and a critical 2.3 clearances per game in La Liga.

But Miranda’s skillset extends beyond just being a defensive rock. He’s a well-rounded player who offers attacking potential as well. This season, he’s chipped in with 2 goals and 2 assists, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively. Adding to his value, his passing accuracy of 82.2% in La Liga underlines his composure and ability to build attacks from the back.

The biggest perk for West Ham? Miranda’s expiring contract. Snagging him on a free transfer would be a major financial win, freeing up funds to strengthen other areas of the squad.

Miranda’s arrival would be a shot in the arm for West Ham’s backline. His tackling prowess, positional awareness, and ability to clear danger would bring much-needed stability. The added bonus of his versatility as a left-back and potential center-back cover makes him an even more attractive option in the hurly burly of the Premier League.

At just 24, Miranda is a young talent with a bright future. West Ham could be looking at their long-term solution at left-back, with Miranda potentially anchoring their defense for years to come.

I really hope that now David Moyes has left that the West Ham supporters get whats coming to them and they end up getting relegated.
You are the worst kind of supporters I have ever seen.

West Ham supporters are the most loyal supporters in Europe. David moyes did a good job in the beginning but the last two seasons have seen a big dip in form ending in the trashing that we have had to endure since the start of 2024 having failed to bring in the player’s needed in the January window and bringing the worst signing of all to the club Phillips is most likely the reason things got as bad as they are when we needed a striker and to strengthen our defence that’s what ended any hope of European football next season yes we have some outstanding players but they are burnt out by the amount of games they have played no rotation or very poor rotation and that is down to bad management people putting us fans down need to look at the facts

  • Ian says:

    I. would. have thought the supporters were very concerned that if MOYES.
had stayed on. it. was almost guaranteed that relegation. would have loomed. just look at the parlous state he’s left the. SQUAD. in ,and that’s after 4 years and 450. million!

  • Eddie says:

In answer to remarks about defending Moyes what manager sees his side 2 or 3 goals down takes off a striker or a attacking midfielder and puts on a defender absolute suicidal
