Head of Medical and Sports Science, Stijn Vandenbroucke has updated the club’s official about the state of fitness of the squad ahead of our opening Europa league game next Thursday.
Stijn explains that Diafra Sakho, Doneil Henry and James Tomkins are all in full training and Andy Carroll is getting close to his comeback.
Andy is training on the pitch, building up his fitness and will join the team in the next few weeks
James , Diafra and Doneil have joined the training camp in Cork, Ireland and have been working well over the off-season, a balance between rest and fitness work.
He finishes by saying “We are training very well and have no injuries in the group, working hard towards the game next week.”
Judging by the photo I think DG was talking to Stijn when he said don’t go back to bed.
