Hammers kill midfielder speculation

|

Widespread reports that West Ham are chasing midfielder SD Eibar’s Joan Jordan are out of date and inaccurate.

Daily reports that the club have moved for the player or are ready to offer £13 million are untrue following the arrival of Pablo Fornals.

It’s true that the club had been looking at the 25 year old but he was only on the radar at the same time as the club were moving for their primary target – Fornals.

Various sites continue to report that we hold an interest in the former Espanyol central defender but he is in fact no longer of any interest to the Hammers.

ClaretandHugh was told a few minutes ago that although the club had him in their sights at one point he is no longer part of their plans.

A highly placed source – talking to us via e mail – said: “Pablo Fornals was always the No 1 priority. Jordan was plan B if we hadn’t have got Fornals but we have that  position now – we are sorted in midfield.”
