Hammers learn Conference Group rivals

|

West Ham will be involved in a Euro Conference group which will see them play  against FCSB (ROM),  R.S.C Anderlecht (BEL) and Silkeborg IF (DEN) .

The draw was made a few hours after we had seen off Viborg in the play off second leg on an aggregate of 6-1 and we became top seeds in Group B.

It looks on the face of it to be a tricky group but the manager wasn’t unhappy and gave an immediate reaction after the lunchtime draw.

His immediate response was to say: “I’ve just seen it ( the draw) and it’s good! I’m looking forward to it. There are some good teams in it. We’ve had quite a difficult draw with our group but we’re looking forward to it.

“We actually stayed in Silkeborg on Wednesday night and it’s never an easy game in Bucharest either. It won’t be easy but we are looking forward to it!”

Does anyone know why Vaduz from Lichtenstein went into pot E rather than B as they were drawn out second? It would have been a better draw than Anderlecht.
