Hammers linked to major midfielder

|

The Hammers are this morning being reported as being in the chase for exciting Benfica midfielder Joao Felix .

According to some bookmakers – and reported by talkSPORT – we are among the favourites to sign a player who is also being linked with both Manchester clubs, Juventus and highly ambitious Wolves.

Given that we currently have Manu Lanzini, Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Declan Rice, Jack Wilshere, Robert Snodgrass, Mark Noble, and Michail Antonio on board with the possibility that Edmilson Fernandes could return it looks a hugely unlikely move for the Irons.

And were either of the Manchester clubs to move in we would inevitably be left behind so this is one I think we can safely forget with our main targets being up front and at the back anyway

The 19 year old Portuguese under-21  international is valued at €35 million according to www.transfermarkt.com who usually undervalue players a little which would put him way out of our range anyway.

Who writes this.. There’s not a chance of us getting anywhere near him…

That Donny van de Beek looked seriously impressive against Spurs last night. Maybe a cheaper option? But I would imagine that whole Ajax squad will be cherry picked by the big clubs.

Transfermkt probably reflects a fair price and good assessment of value but as evidenced by reality the price is often double or treble the value, according to other media his club want £105 m for a raw talent.
