West Ham are said weighing up a move for Inter Milan centre back Jeison Murillo in the summer, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
The report claims the 23-year-old is wanted by Leicester City, Stoke City, Everton in addition to the Hammers and was previously a target for Manchester United. It has been claimed that Murillo, whose present contract with Inter Milan runs until 2020, could fetch around £15m, meaning the Italian club are open to letting him go. He has 16 caps and a goal for Colombia to his name and is expected to represent his nation in the Copa America next month.
One major concern is Murillo’s disciplinary record after he was sent off four times last season.
Corriere dello Sport claim the 23-year-old centre-back has turned down approaches from Stoke City, West Ham and Everton in the hope that he can attract a “bigger club”
A source close to player allegedly told the Italian press “Murillo is a hot name on Inter’s transfer list and the club has already fielded inquiries from West Ham, Stoke City and Everton. But Murillo will hardly choose to go to a lower level club than Inter. He is prepared to wait for a big proposal.”
