West Ham fans will be asked for their input as the Hammers attempt to come up with the kit of lifetime to celebrate our last season at the Boleyn.
The commemorative strip is set to be recalled in ioconic terms as history unfolds and the fans are going to play their part according to Karen Brady.
Fans have been asked to send the club their favourite claret and blue strips from years gone by which will also be used to document the Hammers’ kits around the new stadium.
The vice-chairman Karren Brady told the Evening Standard: ‘We want to make sure our final season at the Boleyn Ground is a memorable one, which is why it is so important that we involve our supporters in the planning from an early stage.
‘We have already seen thousands of fans share their memories and we now are asking for their favourite kits from West Ham’s past.
I’m sure our fans will once again offer some interesting insight on their favourite kits, whether it be due to the favourite player, a memorable match or even the first time they visited the Boleyn Ground.
‘The commemorative final season kit is one that every West Ham player will want to wear and we’re determined to make sure it pays fitting tribute to our history at the Boleyn Ground.’
Don’t believe it,
The shirt will have been decided already, it will be retro, with claret body and blue sleeves.
More Bull from the club
If Brady has anything to do with it you can expect it to go wrong (with a bonus for her).
Yawn yawn yawn. What possible reason would the club have in dictating the choice of this kit against the fans wishes?
If it’s retro and if its to commemorate Upton Park then it needs to be the one Bobby is wearing I would have thought.
