Hammers may have picked up a real bargain

|

Former Hammer Daniel Gabbidon has taken a close up look at Albian Ajeti and reckons the club may have a very decent signing on their hands.

in reality the Swiss international didn’t show a great deal during the Carabao Cup in his first outing for the club at Newport county on Tuesday evening.

However, Gabbidon who knows a thing or two about defending, and was acting as a TV pundit, believes that he showed enough to suggest he might become a bargain for the £8million we signed him for.

The 22 year old appears to be a poacher in the Chicharito style which may allow the club to pave the way out for the Mexican in January.

ClaretandHugh revealed Chivas his first club are finding a way to raise the cash to bring Chicharito home and Ajeti could be looking to get game time in order to become his natural successor.

Gabbidon, speaking on Sky Sports, declared “ I think the transfer has gone under the radar with Sebastien Haller coming in for big money, but he certainly looks a different type of striker to Haller.

He’s more Javier Hernandez-like, a box type of player, likes to get in behind, can shoot with either foot, very composed when he gets in those positions, so I think he’ll be a very good addition.”

Ajeti is unlikely is unlikely to be used for the Norwich match as Chicharito is now fit the manager explained he is back to a stable place to play, Seb Haller is bound to start up front and it is unlikely there will be any room, to acommadate the new signing

You’re dreaming lol, not for a couple of years yet.

Thought he looked to have good awareness & good movement. Clearly he will work for the team. On a couple of occasions he was willing to play in somebody who was in a better position rather than try for goal himself. That may also mean he is not ruthless enough of course! So my conclusion would be ‘promising’. If Hernandez leaves in January I would worry if we were left with only Ajeti & Haller plus maybe Silva. However his injury goes Antonio is looking a regular injury victim.

He looks like a player, took up excellent positions our final ball was atrocious, play him alongside Haller to see the best of both of them COYI!!!

I think he will be good , worked hard , got in good position but didn’t get any service how can he score without getting the chance . The lad has lots of promise ⚒

I would like to see us play both him and Haller up top. Very they would score plenty. Nothing wrong with 4-4-2. Rice can always drop into the back if the RB/LB push forward giving us 3 at the back. Five in the middle. Then when in trouble. Revert to four at the back. But at least try 2 up.

Ajeti looks like a quicker stronger version of Hernandez. More two footed and better in the air than Hernandez – and, at 22, will hopefully get better with age
