Hammers mock AC “off” stories

|

CarrollhairflyingWest Ham United’s top brass have mocked reports that Andy Carroll is desperate for a return to the north east and Newcastle.

The hardy annual tabloid story arose again yesterday to resigned amusement in the corridors of Upton Park power.

AC has been linked to a Tyneside return more times than Status Quo have discussed retirement and we were told: “He’s going nowhere least of all with a new manager on the way and playing staff decisions to be made.

“The simple truth from Andy’s point of view is that he is happy in London, settled and like all men of his age in these circumstances  focused on the arrival of his new baby.

“He can become a very valuable player to us and this time we believe he is finally through his injury problems. He certainly won’t be leaving and there has not been any inquiries.”

Last time they said he was finally through his injuries. They will probably be saying the same thing again at some point next season.Im p*ssed off with this situation now,its ridiculous paying top dollar to a guy we get few games out of,as well as it always stretching our resouces.

I am willing to give him one more chance, because when he does play he gives 100% and it’s not his fault that BFS played lump it and chase football,if the right people work with him on trapping and holding the ball up instead of always looking for the flick on ,
He would be a good target man he is better on the ground then he is given credit for,
It’s a pity Teddy never got to work with him on these attributes because Teddy was very good at this when he played,
Still think he would be brilliant on the bench as a game changer,

Glad to know Andy the stallion is focused on the arrival of his new baby horse… Glad to see his pictures with his girfriend and they’ll relax this summer… I think it is right, he’s being paid £15 mil. for this.. I never liked him, he is exactly the opposite of my ideal forward. 😉

Tend to agree with bubs, the only thing that has to change is when fit he can’t be the first name on the teamsheet and that problem has now been solved

I like him as a player but his body is crap
