Hammers playing a waiting game on striker

|

West Ham remain hopeful that Jordan Hugill’s possible move to Norwich can earn the club £5-£6 million following the Canaries approach to the player.

Having admitted to ClaretandHugh that there is an interest the Irons are now being forced to wait to see if the 28 year old can agree personal terms.

As we reported earlier in the week that is a snag and although we understand the club and player may be moving closer together we were told there was still a way to go.

The Hammers have been paying a chink of Hugill’s reported £35k a week wages whilst he has been on loan at first Middlesborough and last season Queens Park Rangers.

A move to Norwich would suit the Irons very well of course but Hugill is determined to get as close to his present wage as possible.

And should he decide to make the Carrow Road move it would mean  that any hopes of including him in a deal for Rangers playmaker Eberechi Eze, who remains on manager David Moyes’ wanted list, would be dead in the water.

Eze is the player we are supposedly after so why is Hugill not being used as part of the deal to Get him from QPR.?.Makes no sense to sell to Norwich then use the cash to buy Eze.Its all smoke and mirrors as usual plus we have the Diangana dilemma not to mention at least 4 under performing players on big money the club would like to sell on.Moyes has a busy few weeks ahead of him.

What makes you think QPR want Hugill? Don’t you think the club would take that route if it was available? Why would they make things much more difficult and convoluted for themselves?
