West Ham have plummeted down the transfer window net spend table as rival Premier League clubs splash the cash around them.
The Hammers, who were 11th in the table less than two weeks ago, have dropped down to 17th as Newcastle, Everton and Manchester United all start to spend.
West Ham have sold Jordon Hugill, Albian Ajeti and Grady Diangana for a combined £26m while converting the Tomas Soucek loan deal into a permanent transfer for £15m.
A £27m offer for James Tarkowski is thought to have been rejected as David Moyes searches for defensive reinforcements with only four days before the start of the Premier League season on Saturday.
The Manager will have another 23 days before the transfer window closes on the 5th October

We’re at the bottom. Sorry but dubious whether you can include souchek from the previous transfer window in January.
its disgusting and basically they are taking the mickey out of the fans now. They remind mind of Nero who fiddled whilst Rome burnt.Everybody has strengthened their squads and some and this lot are just doing nothing.Every supposed target we had has now been snapped up by our rivals. Its a complete joke and i for one have had enough of it.Fail to prepare, prepare to fail as the saying goes.If they have not got a pot to **** in then why try sign Tarkowski who is valued at 50 mill.?
Moving to the new ground really helped take us to the next level to complete for champions ( sorry championship) football.
Be interesting to see what this table looks like as a percentage of revenue since we left Upton Park vs others.
Our problem is our squad is so imbalanced and we can’t trade out of the hole that comes from lots of different buying from lots of managers and no long term strategy.
14 midfielders, 1 forward( no 10), and 5 poor defenders
Desperate buys by desperate people.
That comes from the top.
As I’ve said before, the sell to buy policy in place would lead to this. Simply because the owners are unwilling to front any cash. Not only are we going to miss out on players, they also managed to destroy any morale within the squad created at the end of last season. Short term fools. Unfit owners.
We are looking more like Sunderland or the villa side that went down few years ago with every passing day.
