Hammers put up a ‘not for sale’ notice

|

obiang1West Ham have put a ‘not for sale’ notice on all their players until replacements or additions are found for injured players.

The club has an injury crisis on its hands with ten players receiving treatment or recovering, and there will be no departures from the London Stadium until or unless the situation is resolved.

The latest player to be linked with a possible move is Pedro Obiang who reportedly interests Inter Milan but he will be going nowhere in the current circumstances.

The club has also blocked advances on Andre Ayew from his former club Swansea who were keen to take their former player on loan with a ‘to buy’ option in the summer.

We simply cannot afford to lose anybody at this stage despite the seemingly imminent arrival of Joao Mario from Inter.

That deal is still not done but the two clubs have agreed a fee with the player keen to make the move.

A cynical person at some clubs ( not ours of course) might wonder if this sort of statement could be the beginnings of an excuse for not bringing in more players. We had some cracking players lined up but the deals depended on us moving a few out. There is also the old FFP chestnut , which only seems to apply to certain clubs. I am so glad our club does not stoop to such deception.

+1 we need more players without selling any but if can sell Sakho or Ayew & make £25m btwn them if use it to bring in a Good CF we should, I wanted Mark Uth now going on free to Schalke in summer been great signing.
But Moyes has said he doesn’t want to sell any players & I’m fine with not selling as long as we still invest & bring in 2-3 players hut of keep Sakho we need to use him some Fans hate him others don’t care but either way is goof CF.
He says he can play but the club says he is Injured would imagine bc they wanted to sell him but does have 2yr extension.

I’m just hoping that some deals are being worked out quietly bc we def need some reinforcements.

And why send Burke & Cullen back. Tbh wish we would of kept Sameulsen I’d pkay him for creativity or loaned him out to Championship side who is bottom but hope he does well.

I would play sakho as well JRS ! He’s there so use him ! Best striker in the club , but needs a contract extension as he could go on a free , if not then sell him and get smolov !! Personally the damage has been done ! So its inevitable he will go 😉

😂 😂 !!! Not being the cynical type 😇 I’m not saying a word before the window ends. 😂
    Sort of 😂 !
Smolov , bentdoctor , are a realistic addition ! But not wanting to sound a cynic ? I have my doubts the funds or ambition is there , ayew and sakho could generate 25 mill so what’s stopping them?
If the pair are sold its not going to make a bit of difference to the squad anyway ! They won’t play sakho and ayew is err ayew lol. Super Mario is not enough for sure and if they fail to bring in more on top of the Mario not signed yet bloke were in trouble regardless if ayew and sakho stay or go ! Sakho goes on a free so can’t see that happening ? Just wait and pray there’s negotiations going on to ease our plight as its dire !😎
This situation gives everybody a insight into the boards awareness and severity of the problem , let’s see if they can handle it or not , without the bull💩 excuses we’ve been accustomed to over the previous windows , 😎

Ironically, with the player’s we’re linked with and the lack of injuries at his position, I’d say if we could sell Obiang to off-set the cost of Mario – DO IT!

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Let’s wait until we see Mario in the shirt first he might fail the medical, wouldn’t be the first time, we still need a defensive midfielder also, we don’t have a decent one of those, then a striker to cover all the injuries and replace Sakho.

  • Hammer64 says:

Sakho situation-who knows? If he is fit & prepared to put a shift in that would be like a transfer. He scores so I would be ok for now with him, Hernandez & Arnie ( if he returns within a few weeks). But would be happier still with a good incoming striker. I think Sakho will just hang around like a cow’s fart for another four months if we don’t move him on. That would leave us way too thin up front. We gambled on strikers this time last year & just got away with it. That means the board will probably risk it again.
