Hammers record first win

|
The West Ham U23’s recorded their first win of the season this season at Rush Green this evening beating Manchester United’s Under 23s 2-0..
Just after the half hour good approach play from Keenan Forson and Bernardo Rosa found Dan Chesters in acres of space within the penalty area.
The midfielder made a very mature decision to slide it across the face of goal – where Oladapo Afolayan was waiting to tap it in, but Will Fish’s tackle diverted it.
The statisticians gave it to the Man Utd defender as an own-goal… but Afolayan will claim it!

Twenty seconds into the second half and the Hammers were awarded a penalty! Dan Chesters was brought down from behind, just inside the area.

Afolayan sent the keeper grasping in completely the wrong direction – going left and finding the bottom corner and it is 2-0 to West Ham
Despite the three points, the Hammers stay at the bottom of the Premier League 2 Division 1 table with just 5 points from five games.
